timespent – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how glasshouse studio, llc ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with your use of the timespent application (the "App"). Your privacy is important to us, and our goal is to be transparent about our practices.

Information We Collect and Why

The App does not require you to create an account or provide traditional personal information like your name, email address, or phone number to begin using the App. Your iCloud account details are used exclusively to facilitate data syncs with your devices and Apple's servers, and we do not collect or store your iCloud account details.

If you choose to share your Arc, submit an Arc for Arc Spotlight, or publish your Profile Name to an Arc you share, you will be required to Sign in with your Apple ID. Authentication is managed securely by Apple; we do not require or store passwords. To provide these features, we use a third-party backend service, Supabase ("Backend Provider"). When you sign in, we collect basic account information, such as Name and Email Address, to create your profile and manage your shared content. You may choose to use iCloud's "Hide My Email" feature to keep your personal email address private. We do not sell this information and only share it with our Backend Provider as necessary to provide these services.

To understand how the App is used and to make it better, we use a third-party product analytics service, Mixpanel ("Analytics Provider"). Some examples of information we collect include, but are not limited to:

• Device ID: We use Apple's Identifier for Vendor (IDFV). This ID helps us understand usage on a specific device without being tied to your real-world identity.
• Usage Events: Information about your interactions with the App. Examples of such information include, but are not limited to, which buttons you tap and which features you use.
• Device Information: Technical details like your device model, operating system version, and crash data.

This data is used exclusively for our internal product analytics to identify bugs, prioritize new features, and improve the overall user experience. We do not use this data for advertising; we do not sell this data; and we do not share this data with any other parties except the Analytics Provider as required for them to provide their services.

For users in the European Economic Area, we process this analytics data based on our legitimate interest in improving our App and understanding how it's used. Your analytics data may be transferred to and processed in other countries based on where our Analytics Provider choose to locate their servers.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected analytics data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.

Your Choices and Rights

We believe you should have full control over your data.

• Opt-Out of Analytics: As of v1.7.3, you can stop sending analytics data at any time. To do so, navigate to Settings > Advanced > Data Privacy and use the "Don't Send Analytics" toggle. Please note that activating this toggle does not delete any usage data that may have been sent when the toggle was not activated. To delete data, refer to the next section. Activating this toggle sends an "Opt Out" request to our Analytics Provider, which processes this request subject to their privacy policies. The opt-out typically takes effect within minutes, though processing times may occasionally vary.
• Data Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your analytics data. To do so, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". In the email, you must include your Device ID, which can be found in the App at Settings > Advanced > Data Privacy.
• Shared Arc Data Deletion: You also have the right to request the deletion of any Arcs you have chosen to share as well as any profile information associated with them. To do so, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". This email must be sent from your Account Email, which can be found in the App at Settings > Advanced > Data Privacy.

Data Retention

We retain analytics and account data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. You may request deletion of your data at any time using the process described in "Your Choices and Rights" above.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date below. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
